Carla gave a web presentation, including a paper handout, of the availability of trade information on the website: www.misertrade.org.
There is campus-wide access to the website if one joins. Sorting is flexible; all information is on one page; many variables are available. The price is approximately $2000; unlimited users/hits; consortium discounts; trial periods; demos.

It is the largest data online for trade.
It is very impressive.
II. Business Meeting
Introductions were made.
Minutes that were distributed from the last meeting were accepted.
Treasurer Pam Hays reported: Savings Account for current use: $297.52
CD: $1000, due June 2004
Nominating committee members: Deb Mongeau and Linda Johnson were announced; Connie Reik volunteered to join them.
Gail Fithian is the Vice-Chair; Chair-Elect.
Len Adams will not be the Secretary due to increased job responsibilities.
Pam Hays will not be the Treasurer due to her departure from Harvard as of June 30, 2004.
Pam and Len will be “honored” at the May meeting.
It was decided to postpone discussion of the GPLNE mission statement until more members of the sub-committee (Pam Hays, Betty Febo and Len Adams) were present.
It was recommended that voting on the Mission Statement would be in May; by absentee ballot (email) and a majority vote was needed. There are approximately 93 people on the email list.
Discussion of the FIELD CONSULTANT was detailed. All of the proposals we received by email were thoroughly discussed. Jenny Groome was the recorder. The deadline was before Spring Conference and determined to be by April 11th. Gail Fithian will send the proposal and a cover letter to GPO. She will also distribute a copy of the final proposal and the cover letter to GPLNE members.
III. Next Meeting
Date of the next meeting is under discussion with Colby College.
