ENGR 220 Design Project

• Design Project MathCAD file - Use this as a starting point for the design project. This file demonstrates one stunt. As an exercise to help you understand the assignment and how to use MathCAD, get the track to return to the starting point before proceeding with the rest of the project.
• Roller Coaster Animator (zipped folder) - Autodesk Inventor file to animate the motion of a simple roller-coaster like car along the trajectory specified in the included MathCAD file.  Use this to visualize motions.  Information is redundant to graphs in the MathCAD document.
• Design Project as Word Document
• It is easy for me to check your design project MathCAD file.  I just paste in a few blocks at the bottom to calculate jerk, maximum height, maximum velocity etc. and compare these to the limits set in the project assignment.  It's a very good idea for you to do the same thing before you submit your file.  To make it easy, here is a MathCAD file that checks your solution.  Paste this on the bottom and make sure you do not exceed specified limits.
